Seems like it has been a long time since the last order announcement… VTSI now retracing its latest runup to 42 cents. Are investors losing patience?
Editor: Of course investors are losing patience, which is why the stock drifts down when the company has limited news flow. However, looked over the big picture, I believe more new business is coming for this one, and this newsless period could turn out to be a great opportunity to accumulate.
Damn, what is happening with this stock? We need some direction or another positive announcement form the company – QUICK !!
Editor: It seems like you got your wish- check today’s BLOG entry.
Is this still a “break out” stock, or do we now have a BROKEN DOWN stock?
Editor: Right now, broken down after a pre Xmas breakout. They need to deliver more consistent news flow. Planning on looking at the chart soon.
You would think with all the training being doen in Iraq, somebody would spring for a few VTSI machines over there to speed up the process. I’m sure VTSI would be happy to ship 20 or 30 – LOL.
Editor: In order for this stock to trade consistently well, the company has to start delivering news of new contracts and the fullfillment of existing contracts on a much more regular basis. I’m sure they understand that, and are doing everything they can to move things in the right direction.
I wonder if they have thought of following the CAE model for flight training. CAE is a Toronto company that has set up about 7 training centres world wide. Example: In Dubai Emirates Airline and CAE partner to set up a training center. Pilots needing upgrading come to the centre for training on CAE simulators. And, these pilots are from all airlines in the area.. ex. Air India, Jordan Air, etc. I wonder if VTSI couldn’t partner with some large key police forces around the USA to set up a number of training centres. In the long run this may be more lucrative, and a good way to market the product and to upgrade skill levels of law enforcement officers. Of course, the next step might be to include training simulations for firefighters, and other point of care first responders. Just an idea, but it seems to be working for CAE. I may be a little impatient here, but I sure expected to see more orders, multiple orders and more frequent orders. I really like what they offer, but right now I feel like one of just a few people on this planet with this belief.
Editor: Don- you should forward this question on to CEO Kelly Jones. He will reply. Sounds like an excellent way to provide the technology, but also sounds very capital intensive. The company simply doesn’t have the money right now.
Well, I didn’t have the nerve to press the buy button on the big slide today. And, I didn’t hit the panic sell button either. But, I sure pumped a lot of adrenelin. What are the possible causes of a move down and then back up like this? Capitulation, panic, news I don’t know about? All of the above?
Editor: Please check today’s BLOG for commentary.
anyone have an idea of what’s going on w/ VTSI the last few weeks. It appears to be contstantly getting walked down a penny at a time, on 5k lots. bid/ask has been a consistent 5k on each side, and it’s been a steady drip, drip, drip down. Buy and holds, I’ve got to get away from, as I don’t understand this presistent downward price action. Must be time for reverse now that price action is starting to irritate me.
Editor: I hope the stock is getting ready to reverse course. The company needs to deliver some new orders now that the supplemental budget has passed. I know they are not thinking of a reverse split. If you look at the history of the stock, it did the same thing last year. Down in the spring, up in the Fall. However, they have to get the military orders they have been promised.
