CPNE finally appears to be in a bit of a corrective phase. Long overdue.
If you are dying to buy some, here’s the chart:

This is my standard 38.2% and 61.8% retracement levels. First stop- $2.76- if it gets there it’s a buy. If $2.75 gives way, it’s a very strong buy at $2.40 or so.
In the case of CPNE, I think the $2.75 level will probably turn out to be a great buy, but you never know for sure.
Comments and questions are welcome.
What do you think the actual stock price should be for this stock now?
And don’t forget the January numbers plus CPNE bought back $2mil in stock.
My estiimate is around $9.
Thanks
Editor: Firstly, CPNE might not have bought back any stock. We just don’t know. They had the option, but didn’t have to. My guess- they bought some before it took off, and they aren’t buying any now. In my view, the stock is a slam dunk for $4 or $5- Since I don’t have much visibility performance wise past Q1, I am not ready to predict $9. However, if the trend continues, $9 is a distinct possibility.
What do you think about this latest press release. What do you think there strategies are in doing this? I assume the guidence must be great considering there doing this in front of instittional investors and broadcasting over the web.
Editor: I believe it is safe to assume the numbers will be very favorable. Companies tend to hide when the numbers are weak- this is just the opposite. I believe numbers will be strong for Q4 and Q1- can’t see beyond that.
Your comment on the buy back I thought interesting. I had the impression back a way that they were holding the price up close to the $1.48-$1.50 mark. However they may have made a deal with their financier
But anyway you look at it I’m really happy to have some (from .33c). The same goes for PNWIF and EFSF. 3 out of 4 is pretty good odds
Thanks for a truly excllent service.(Much better than any other site I’ve seen.
Editor: Two comments- 1. Please tell all your friends to sign up, and 2. Remember these ideas I found when the market is not so favorable.
What do you think about them selling 4 million shares to investors for a buck ninty, what’s to keep them from dumping it back into the market now for a quick dollar gain. thanks, keep up the good work.
Editor: It was probably and enticement to institutional investors to keep the audience interested. Probably a good move on their part- however, $1.90 seems to be a bit of an aggressive discount. The market probably won’t like it temporarily, and then the stock will rebound.
Help!! What does this really mean? Are they free to sell the stock now? He SAYS it is in the best interests of all CPNE shareholders. Can he be believed (my gut says no but I’m willing to listen to facts)

Institutional Investors Purchase 4.8 Million Shares of Common Stock From a Major Shareholder and Members of Management
Editor: I’m sure this was done for two reasons- first, to get rid of some of the old shareholders who have been problematic to this stock, and secondly- to intice institutional involvement. If they keep delivering the numbers, this will be merely a blip on the radar screen. However, I’m sure the stock will trade down temporarily. I think, in the long run, the stock will trade better if they keep delivering the numbers.
What do you think about the CPNE press release today 2/13/07 after the close of the market concerning sale of several million shares of unregistered common stock to instutional investors for only $1.90 per share? Something does not sit right with me….first a reported stock buyback and then a sale to insitutional investors a couple months later?

What do you think about todays press release? they have offered the stock at 1.90. how will this effect the share price?
Thanks

Huge press release this afternoon. Too bad I am not totally sure what it exactly means. Good, Bad, excellent

I agree that if the company continues to deliver strong earnings and positive results that the stock will necessarily have to react positively. I sold my shares (at least temporarily) mainly because in my opinion it’s counterintuitive for management to sell at $1.90 when the stock is trading closer to $3. I will wait for guidance on February 22nd. If it’s positive, i.e. better than last quarter, I’ll consider buying back my shares. If I should wind up paying more for the stock than the price at which I sold them as a result, that’s okay. In the world of the micro and small cap stock, I don’t want to find out I missed out on the gain because I tried to be too greedy. Thanks, and I look forward to your future comments on this stock and others!
Editor: Very few investors have the intestinal fortitude to buy a stock back at a higher price than where they sold it. However, it is an excellent strategy- investors leave millions on the table out of emotion. I believe Q4 will be good, and Q1 will be absolutely great.
