Nighthawk Plans To Open Up

At long last I had a nice candid conversation with Doug Saathoff, CEO of NightHawk.

While I can’t report much, I can tell you we did discuss the importance of opening up shareholder communications.

Over the coming weeks I am confident shareholders will be better informed about the current status. I’ll continue to cover the substantive events for the time being. Once everyone is up to date on where the company is and its plan for growth, I’ll decide where I am with the coverage.

Stand by for updates from the company.

  1. You got to be joking. Please someone wake me up when the words come down from the mountain. Its been way to quiet. Could this be the buy of the lifetime? Itron – anything still alive with them? They could be electrifying to this company. Ive been here for the long run is there anything to get excited about or should I roll over and go back to sleep on this one?

Editor: Please ask the question again in three weeks. I believe investors will have a good idea what’s going on at the company by then, and I can respond intelligently.

  2. This partnership is only three months buy I was hoping we would have some orders and news from NIHK!

The potential could be very positive however the stock is reacting like the market-negative!

I am rolling the dice and adding thinking this will move upward!

Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: NIHK)
(“Nighthawk”), a leading provider of wireless and IP-based control devices and solutions,
announced today that it has signed an agreement with Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) under which
Nighthawk has granted Itron a nonexclusive right to promote, market and sell Nighthawk
wireless power control products to its utility customers.
Nighthawk’s wireless, whole house disconnect technology will complement Itron’s proven
automated meter reading (AMR) data collection suite, ChoiceConnect™, providing electric
utilities with two-way communications capability to their customer’s meter. The utility will be
able to connect, disconnect, or limit power to customers based on meter readings without rolling
a truck and sending field personnel to the customer’s location. Nighthawk’s one-way CEO700
and two-way CEO800 series of disconnect units will enable the Itron team to tailor the best
solution for their customers. Nighthawk’s collar-based solutions fit directly behind the Itronequipped
meter allowing for virtually seamless integration of a remote disconnect solution for
    either existing or new customers.
Itron provides a uniquely comprehensive portfolio of products and services to utilities in over
130 countries. Itron is the market share leader in the North American AMR market, deploying
both drive-by and fixed network meter reading technology that allows meter reading to be
performed without actually viewing or touching the meter with any other equipment.
    H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk’s CEO, commented, “I’m very happy to announce that we’ve
entered into this agreement with Itron, which formally associates Nighthawk with perhaps the
most well-known and well-respected provider of metering equipment in the world today. This
agreement will allow Itron to incorporate Nighthawk’s technology into their own product
offerings, and opens up the Itron sales and distribution network to Nighthawk. This is a
significant step in the evolution of Nighthawk.”
“Itron certainly recognizes the potential value of combining Nighthawk’s growing wireless
control capabilities with our ChoiceConnect suite,” said Philip Mezey, senior vice president and
COO of Itron North America. “By building strategic partnerships with providers such as
Nighthawk, we continue to enhance our innovative solutions, further helping utilities to better
manage demand for an energized future.”
    About Nighthawk

    Editor: Thanks

  3. So I am preparing myself for the worst in these economic conditions. That means I would expect news of further funding from Dutchess to keep operations going and thus, more shareholder dilution. I really hope we get news on progress with their deal with Itron as well.

Editor: Was going to write some content on today’s release for everyone. I believe these negatives are already priced into the stock.

  4. Have you heard anything of late worth mentioning?

Editor: The company has been mum much to my disappointment. Beyond what I recently published, nothing for public consumption.

  5. Well Im asking the question again. What is going on at NIHK? Will this stock ever go back up? Will there be a reason to buy more shares? Is there any news with ITRON?????????????????????????????????
Editor: Please ask the question again in three weeks. I believe investors will have a good idea what’s going on at the company by then, and I can respond intelligently.

Editor: I am not in charge of making this company provide disclosure to investor. Doug Saathoff is. He assured me it would pick up, but so far nothing. Here’s his email address: dsaathoff@nighthawksystems.com – contact him and ask him directly why he doesn’t let investors know what’s going on.

  6. what would it take to remove the CEO? Do the retail investors collectively have enough shares to make a difference or are we just waisting our time with this one?

Editor: Based on my conversations with the CEO from about one month ago, and the follow through, it seems as if we are wasting our time.

  7. Nighthawk Systems Reports Record 2008 Year!

Good news all around given the fact 2008 was a recessionary year for all companies.

I like the ESPN established relationship with LALive and perhaps this could spark additional media business in 2009.

Need more clarification on ITRON opportunities!

    GLTA

Editor: We need a lot more clarification on a lot of things.
