[PR Newswire] - CHICAGO, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- As you well know, there are abundant reasons to be dissatisfied with the performance of Procera (PKT). As a result, I do not intend to recap the continually disappointing operating results, acquisition disappointments, dramatic increase in expenses in front of unrealized sales, failure to provide proper guidance, and the dramatic decline of Procera's stock. I will not provide an unnecessary 200 slide presentation to document the aforesaid. Procera operates in a rapidly growing market sector of significant potential, but the company continues to fail to execute on its strategies, and seems to be unable to seize upon market opportunities. I believe it is essential, and consistent with the Board of Director's fiduciary duties to Procera shareholders, that the Board of Directors evaluate all strategic alternatives, including the retention of an investment bank to help guide the process.

[PR Newswire] - FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the global Subscriber Experience company, announced today that PacketLogic/V, Procera's Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) software solution, has been benchmarked by the European Advanced Network Test Center (EANTC) at 40Gbps with fully active Internet Intelligence functionality, running on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment. This test establishes Procera as a leader in the NFV performance arena, and enables network operators to build new business and deployment models that deliver on the promise of NFV to cost-effectively improve network flexibility and service agility. "A lack of proven NFV performance capabilities in the industry has been blocking many NFV deployment scenarios by operators over the past year," said Peter Alm, chief product architect at Procera. "Achieving the same performance with COTS NFV as we do on our PacketLogic™ hardware platforms is a significant technical accomplishment that delivers economic and technological value to network operators."
