Amnis Systems
(OTC BB: AMNM)- Reinvigorated With New Product Release |
|
Amnis Systems was out with
a press release just after the close today which should put life back in
the stock. Amnis has taken the opposite path of VirTra Systems,
the subject of yesterday's edition which made a 52 week high today. This
edition is ideal for those who like to buy at the bottom, as opposed to
jumping on the speeding train of a stock making new all time highs. I've
always felt pullbacks offer lower risk entry points.
Amnis has what may be the
best video streaming technology on the market today. Their video stream
is delivered over any broadband network in "real time", which allows Amnis
systems
to be used for many exotic applications. Customers include the University
of Hawaii, University of Alaska, Hughes, Pfizer, Daimler Chrysler, and
many others. Remote robotic surgery has been performed using
Amnis
video streaming technology, and drone planes are remotely flown using an
Amnis
videostream. There are over 4,000 Amnis systems installed world
wide.
Amnis announced a new product
introduction just after the market closed today. The company announced
the availability of the OptiVideo Server Product Line,
which is a kind of TIVO for video networks.
Up until now, the entire suite of
Amnis
products
has been devoted entirely to live video streams. The new OptiVideo
server line will store a digital video stream much like a TIVO records
television shows, and deliver them up at future times. Anyone on the network
with the proper security clearances can access the stored video.
A real life example would be the
college student at the University of Hawaii who misses a video networked
lecture, or the WalMart employee who misses a video training session.
The student or employee simply log onto the intranet and be available for
the next scheduled broadcast. The next generation of this server, which
Amnis
is already developing, will allow the video to be served up on demand to
the participant.
The imbedded customer base of over
4,000 installations world wide offers a massive market for this new product
right out of the chute. The servers run about $10,000 each, and
they are a very high margin product for the company. Despite being high
margin item for the company, it's a lower priced solution than the few
competitors they have. I'm expecting a stream of announcements concerning
product sales throughout the remainder of the year.

Amnis
- Sets Up Camp Right on Support Line |
 |
Since coming back to life in May
of this year, Amnis has seen a high of about $.15, and has decided
to camp just below the $.07 level for the last two weeks. The stock trades
over a million shares more days than not, so it is fairly liquid for such
a low priced security.
The stock has set up its tent right
on the low end of its support range. A drop from here would technically
be negative. However, it is more likely the stock will push back up into
the middle or the high end of its support range subsequent to today's news
release. A break above $.09 would be very interesting, as it could signal
a retest of the old high is imminent.
It is clear from the chart there
is little stock for sale much below $.07. For the time being, this
suggests the $.07 to $.08 accumulation range is a very low
risk entry point for a high risk stock.
This company is second to none in
real time video streaming delivery. Their new product introduction now
allows users to store video on a network and serve it up at some point
in the future. Their embedded customer base provides an immediate market.
The company is not completely clear of past problems, but definately headed
in the right direction. A great speculation at $.07.

Amnis Systems Announces
Production Availability of the OptiVideo Server Product Line
Wednesday September 24,
4:53 pm ET
New Product Line Will Increase Sales
for All Amnis Systems Products
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept.
24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amnis Systems Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMNM
- News), a leading global provider of networked streaming video systems,
announced production availability of a new line of Video Server and Management
products. The products include the OptiVideo Server, OptiVideo Event Manager
and the OptiVideo Manager. These products, previously referred to as the
edge server product family, were developed in response to specific customer
requests for a high quality video server platform. The products are being
released following a lengthy and thorough beta test program.
OptiVideo Server
The OptiVideo Server
will support simultaneous real time video encoding, recording, streaming,
management and video-on-demand functions. OptiVideo Servers can be distributed
throughout an enterprise network and are interoperable with Amnis Systems
NAC(TM) series of network attached streaming video appliances and desktop
playback software. The OptiVideo Server architecture has been optimized
to support network applications with geographically dispersed locations
of video encoding, storage, streaming and video playback. Such applications
require a plug and play server that can simultaneously encode and record
multiple live video events while streaming multiple video files to other
geographic locations.
Powerful Management
Capabilities
The Amnis Systems OptiVideo
platform also allows multiple servers to be deployed and coordinated with
all other servers and video appliances within the same integrated management
interface. The user may choose to schedule events, monitor and control
multiple OptiVideo Servers through the OptiVideo Event Manager or enhance
their control over the video network with the OptiVideo Manager, which
manages, configures, monitors and schedules events for OptiVideo Servers
as well as the Amnis Systems NAC(TM) series of network attached streaming
video appliances.
"The OptiVideo family
of products represents a significant new opportunity for our valued customers
and channel partners," said Scott Mac Caughern, CEO of Amnis Systems, Inc.
"When combined with our existing line of NAC video appliances, we provide
a complete video networking solution under the umbrella of a single management
system. This added capability will lead to increased sales of all Amnis
Systems products."
According to Sonny Marshall,
President and CEO of Marshall Communications Corp., "We beta tested the
OptiVideo Server and were impressed by the performance and features of
the product. This is a solid addition to the Amnis Systems product line
that will lead to significant new sales of video networking systems. We
were so impressed by the product that we have added it as a standard part
of the EagleStreams infrastructure." EagleStreams is a service provided
by Marshall Communications to all Government Agencies (including DoD).
EagleStreams is a national, secure, satellite based, IP datacasting service
that brings streaming video and/or files direct to desktops, laptops and
kiosks.
