NetWork Installation (OTC BB: NWIS)- Business Keeps Rolling In

NetWork Installation has momentum. The company continues delivering new business on a regular basis. The story here is growth, growth, growth. The next tidal wave of wireless communication infrastructure is building now, and will take at least four years to hit the beach.

The old gold mining metaphor applies to NWIS. Who got rich in the 1880's gold rush in California? Was it the gold miners? Certainly a few got rich. But it was the manufacturers and retailers who built and sold the picks and shovels that all got rich. In fact, during the Gold Rush a revolutionary new clothing item was designed which is in everyone's wardrobe today.

During the 1800's California gold rush, a bright young tailor figured out that if you took some heavy duty fabric and riveted the seams together to reinforce the stitching, you would have pants that would last much longer when performing the heavy duty labor required for mining. The inventor chose denim fabric. His name was Levi Strauss, and he invented denim blue jeans. We all wear them to this day.

My 20 year old daughter wants $200 designer jeans. I don't think they have the rivets Levi Strauss put in his jeans. I'll never know, because she isn't getting them. My wife would never allow it.

NetWork Installation is building the picks and shovels and blue jean manufacturing facility for today's proverbial gold rush.

Five years ago stock market investors made fortunes in companies involved in the massive telco infrastructure build out. The next major wave is starting, and it will gain momentum for several years. More on this comparison in future editions.

Our voice communications have already gone wireless, and our network communications are now going wireless. Before too long the cumbersome cabling will be gone. Nearly all devices will be communicating with their networks wirelessly. You're looking at an picture of the Motorola Canopy, today's wireless version of the gold miner's blue jeans.

On Friday, just after the market closed, NetWork Installation announced another new contract (I believe this is #11 since August) to build out a wireless infrastructure. This time, it's the city of Barstow, California; well known to anyone who has made the 4 hour drive from Southern California to Las Vegas on Route 15.

According to the press release, the City of Barstow has selected NetWork Installation to implement the revolutionary new Motorola Canopy solution, which beams a broadband signal up to 5 miles on line of sight. The network will be used by the Barstow City Police headquarters to connect a new patrol facility. The wireless network will provide a secure voice and data connection between the two facilities.

The Uptrend Remains Intact

This stock has proven easy to own. It's fairly stress free, because it doesn't want to retreat from its $3.25 to $3.40 trading range.  If you're looking for a pullback to enter or add to your position, I don't believe the stock is going to cooperate.

This stock retreated from a rocket like charge in August which took us from $.80 to $6.00. Since finding a bottom, the stock has maintained the solid uptrend you see in the chart.

Since I last reported on this company, they announced another new contract with San Bernadino Valley College in Southern California. On Friday, just after the close, they announced a wireless build out for the City of Barstow.

I feel like this is one of those stocks investors are quietly accumulating for a major breakout at some point in the future. I'm not sure what the catalyst will be. The company could easily grow four fold in 2004. There is so much new activity starting in wireless infrastructure build outs that the big break will come sooner or later.

Keep accumulating at $3.50 or less for a big breakout sometime in the next few months.
