Don't Forget
About Network Installation (OTC BB: NWIS) |
|
Network Installation enjoyed
its proverbial Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame in eary August. On the day
I wrote my first feature on the company (August
2nd), the stock closed at $.80. The Alerts
Tracker shows the entry level at that $.80 figure, but I know the level
is misleading. In fact, the stock opened the next day at $2, and headed
north from there, making a high of $6 by the end of that trading week.
An eight fold move in five trading days is rarely seen- hence the 15 minutes
of fame.
Two and one-half months later members
have had plenty of opportunity to accumulate a position in this stock under
the $3 mark. The stock doesn't trade a lot of volume, but seems to have
earned a loyal shareholder base reflected by a solid bid at $3.10- a 55%
return from the first real opportunity to own the stock. Shareholders
seem content with the slight incline you see in the chart since falling
back from the first meteoric rise. The incline has been reflective of the
constant flow of new business wins the company has announced.
As a quick reminder, NetWork Installation
has been in business since 1997. The company is one stop shopping for anyone's
corporate technology needs. Their services include network design, structured
cabling, video systems, voice products, network electronics, telephony
systems, wi-fi, and access control. This is my idea in the red-hot Wi-Fi
sector. Existing customers include:
-
Los Angeles County
-
Orange County
-
UCLA
-
USC
-
Nearly every school district in LA,
Orange, and San Diego Counties
-
Safeway and Vons
-
Travellers
-
Cisco
-
IBM
-
SBC
-
UPS
-
WalMart
-
Wells Fargo
I like this company as an investment
idea in Wi-Fi because their business is rapidly moving in that direction,
but they have a solid customer base and revenue stream in place. Their
existing customer and revenue base limits your downside risk. Their evolution
into the explosive Wi-Fi arena provides your upside potential.
To date, they haven't delivered a
lot of new in the Wi-Fi sector, but they are delivering many new contracts
in networking solutions. Today, just after the market closed, NetWork
Installation delivered another business win at the University level.
In light of the consistent stream
of new contract wins, and the high impact Wi-Fi news still on the horizon,
I believe you now have to raise your maximum entry level on this one to
$3.50
if you want to participate if and when the stock tries for $6 again.
