To OTC Journal Members:

Our mid week edition normally rolls out on Wednesday, but we have been having some server delivery problems lately and we had our mail server down yesterday to correct the problem. Our delivery for this edition on the weekend edition will be slow, and next week the problem will be solved.

Up Coming Event- July MVP Award

Next Wednesday we will introduce our July MVP award. You will be able to redeem your July points for a free 10 week subscription to the Wall Street Journal delivered to your door. This is not a trial- you will receive no bill. It is simply a free 10 week subscription.

Unfortunately, it will only be available to people in the Continental US. It will not be available to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, or any place in the world. Our apologies, but we cannot get the publishers at the Wall Street Journal to absorb the delivery costs outside the Continental US.

Market Comment- Micro Caps Trading In The Summer Doldrums

Truth be known, this has been a lousy week for the stocks of the companies we follow with one exception. We are stuck in the summer doldrums which is typical in the micro cap market.

Stocks are drifting down due to lack of interest. The NASDAQ market is range bound and currently trading below its level at the beginning of the year. Three up days are immediately matched by three down days. 75% of reporting companies have beat earnings expectations. The stocks are trading up into earnings releases, and then selling off even into the good news.

Every attempt to trade up in our little universe of Micro cap stocks is met with sellers. It may take several more volume surges for some of these stocks to break out with strength and volume.

There is always a lack of positive corporate news during the summer months because commerce and activity definitely slows down. It will not improve until after Labor Day. From there we will have a surge of positive developments into the Holiday season.

There have been high expectations for positive developments on several of the companies we follow. Specifically, investors have been expecting positive corporate developments from Blue Zone, PhotoChannel, PawnBroker, and iQRom. None of these companies have produced any substantive corporate developments recently, which explains why the stocks are trading poorly. Blue Zone was hot for a while when they made the jump to the NASDAQ NMS, but we still need positive corporate developments for a shot at the pre-April highs.

On a more positive note, StockGroup Holdings (OTC BB: SWEB) has been staging a beautiful rebound. This goes to show that you can never tell what will happen in the micro cap market. When we saw the stock drop below $1 earlier this month we invited management to be interviewed for the benefit of our members. We also speculated that the stock might be the buy of year below $1 in our July 12th edition when we carried the interview. Since that time the stock rebounded to nearly $3, but once again the surge has been met with selling at the stock is about $2 again. If you had the courage to buy it below $1 you could have locked in a substantial profit had you sold above $2.

Two of the hallmarks of successful micro cap investing are patience and courage. You must have patience during this slow times and faith that the company will eventually execute its business plan. You must also have the courage of your convictions in these companies. You must be prepared to hold or buy a little more when the stock is behaving as if there is something wrong with the company. Too often we allow the price of the stock to affect our view of the company.

It also helps to have a little luck. When we agree to profile a company we have no idea if the company will deliver on its promises in a timely manner. That is why we profile about eight companies a year. Out of the eight we know we will have one or two superstars and one or two dogs. The rest will fall into that middle category of either making a little or losing a little. Experience combined with luck has a lot to do with success. The reason people make money in this market is because a stock can go up an unlimited amount, but it can only go down to zero. Therefore, in any of these situations there is much greater upside potential that downside risk. Ask anybody that is holding NetSol from the first half of 1999.

Ultimately, you have to decide if you like any of the companies we follow. We provide you with enough information to make informed decisions. Our information is not impartial. We would not agree to profile the companies if we didn't believe it their potential. However, if you decide to invest stick to your guns until your decisions are proven wrong, and don't allow price movement to infect your belief in the company.

Rather than list our disclaimer for every company mentioned above, simply go to our home page at www.otcjournal.com and read our disclaimer. Alternatively, you can click here if you want to be taken directly to that section.

Update on the Progress of StockTalkLive

The beta version of the StockTalkLive service is coming along, but there are still many technical problems. We have been able to get it working on all of our computers now. You have to go through two log ins to get the menu bar, and from there you can build a real time monitor grid. The real time Level II quotes are not working yet.

Eventually this will be a fantastic service. You cannot find a free real time stock tracking service anywhere else on the Internet unless you have a brokerage firm account that offers it.

Please do not send us any questions about the functionality. We did not create the application, and cannot answer questions yet. Earlier this week we did find out that this will not work on Apple Computers. Condolences to all you MAC lovers.

Yesterday an E-mail was sent to everybody that has registered with an overview of problems. Here is a reprint if you missed it:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q]  Why am I being prompted to repeat step 5  (OPRA Agreement) of registration?
A] This is a common problem that many users are experiencing. We are currently working to repair this issue to make it easier to get through this
step. A temporary solution is to close all open browser windows immediately after completing the agreement. Then re-launch Internet Explorer and log back on. You should now be able to launch the quotes.

Q] Why am I getting an error even though I am typing in the correct username & password?
A] We still have some accounts that the database will not let login. We are working diligintly to repair the problem and should have it fixed in the
next few days.

Q] How can I access the quotes from behind a firewall?
A] We transmit our service through port 44444. In order for you to receive our stream, this port on your firewall must be opened bidirectional for both tcp and udp traffic.

Q] Why Do I get a "Cannot locate the default desktop" Error.
A] If you are getting the "Cannot locate the default desktop" error, this is normal. You should be able to click "OK" and then the Xpresso title bar
should appear. After you have set up your desktop with the windows and stocks you want, make sure to save it as the default before you exit.

Q] After clicking to go in the live quotes, get blank STL page. Page hangs. Need to install xpp.cab file. What should I do?
A] You could be encountering this problem for one of two reasons:
1.)  After signing in and clicking to go to the Live Dynamic Quotes you should be getting a McGraw-Hill security warning asking you to install the
xpp.cab file. This file will allow you to run our application. Please be patient as this may take 5-10 minutes or more before you see the prompt to
install the xpp.cab file. However, this is the only time you will have to wait for this step.

Once you have installed this file, you will see an Xpresso login. Sign-in the Xpresso login using your StockTalkLive.com username and password. Once connected, you can begin enjoying our live dynamically streaming quotes!

2.)  If you are not getting an Xpresso login screen after you click to go to the live quotes, it is probably because you are using a Netscape browser. Currently, our application does not work in a Netscape browser. We plan to make the application Netscape compatible in the future, but for now you will have to use an Internet Explorer browser.

Q] Why isnt The Level II Market Maker(L2-MM) or news working.
A] The Level II Market Maker (L2-MM) and news feature is not a usable feature in the beta launch of our services. Currently, any effort in trying
to use this feature will result in an error. We do plan to have these features available to you after our official launch.

If you are not aware of this new service, we have it for you now in beta version. StockTalkLive, which you can find at the top of the right hand menu bar on our home page at www.otcjornal.com.  It will provide you with a free, real-time stock monitor grid, free live dynamic Level II quotes, and free real time charts along with numerous other features. Go to our home page and register for this service as soon as you can. No one else offers this for free.

Update on our $10,000 Referral Contest

If you are not competing in our $10,000 referral contest it is not too late to get started. Go to our home page at www.otcjournal.com and register for your ID#. The rules are all there. Congratulations to ID#10157 who is leading the pack with over three thousand sign ups. The next closest competitor is still below 1500. Unless someone comes out of the pack in the next two months, #10157 is well on their way to a check for $3000 first place money.

There are plenty of creative ways to recruit subscribers all over the Internet. Many people will want to take advantage of the StockTalkLive Service. Good luck to all the competitors.
