With all the excitement going on
in new idea Spicy Pickle (OTC BB: SPKL) I don't want to be remiss
with the other ideas I currently believe in as well. The last two months
have been really good if you participated in some of my current ideas included
Apple
(NASDAQ: AAPL) going through $150 (my call at $95 in March),
and Cree (NASDAQ: CREE), bouncing off $34 (up from $24.50 in August).SPKL
has been treating us very well in the early going, up from Monday's open
in the $.75 to $.80 range, the stock has already seen a high
of $.96 Not bad for the first few days. I don't want to forget penny
stock favorite Nighthawk (OTC BB: NIHK)- a big money maker for OTC
Journal followers twice in the last 2 years. It is in much better shape
this year than the last two at this time, so another run is inevitable
at some point. There is a new BLOG on NIHK posted for your
review, along with a BLOG from the first day of trading in SPKL.
The BLOG is your opportunity
to ask questions and offer comments. I will make an effort to answer every
legitimate question. If I don't know the answer, I will contact the management
and get the answer. Alternatively, if you have questions you don't want
publicly displayed, you can always email me directly at editor@otcjournal.com.
To use the BLOG, simply go
to the home page at www.otcjournal.com
- the BLOG scrolls down from the upper right hand corner. The most
current journal entries appear on the right hand side of you screen. Check
back frequently for updates particularly when stocks are moving to overbought
or oversold levels in volatile markets.

Spicy Pickle
(OTC BB: SPKL) Goes Gator |
|
Jeez, I hate that picture. I look
too stiff. It's probably because my back hurt while I was standing there.
I'm going to be doing a lot more video, so I need to relax a little. Maybe
I'll get a stylist- perhaps they could do something with my hair. Nah-
too late.
Nevertheless, if you have not seen
the Spicy Pickle video, I implore you to watch it. Invest 15 minutes
of your time. People are loving it, and the stock is trading extremely
well. If this volume holds up, I believe higher levels imminent in the
not too distant future.
Just to clarify one point I made
in my original presentation- as the company stands today, I believe the
stock is worth $1. Now, probably more with today's news. That doesn't
mean my price target is $1- I am looking for more like $2
in 2008. However, if you own it up to $1, you are betting on news
of more growth to fuel the stock to higher levels. It's a pretty good bet
considering the company has grown 5 fold in two years.
Today is their first formal growth
announcement as a public company. Spicy Pickle is going to Gator
country. I'm not talking about the reptile- I'm talking about the University
of Florida.
I have nothing bad to say about the
University of Florida. Two of my cousins went there. However, I think it's
a bit selfish to have the NCAA Football and Basketball Championship teams
in the same year. Has any other University ever done that? My Buff brothers
and sisters are eating their hearts out.
In addition to their stellar Collegiate
sports teams, they will soon have a Spicy Pickle restaurant to enjoy.
Today, just after the market closed, Spicy Pickle announced they
have signed a new franchisee to open a store in the Gainseville/Ocala area.
The real estate acquisition team is on the ground in the area now seeking
a first location for this new member of the team.
I believe this is the first of many
such announcements you will reading about in the coming days. Let's have
a look at the chart.
Here's what strikes me. Volume is
holding up great. Investors are finding out about the company. The stock
is working higher. I have been watching it trade, and so far it has traded
up early every day this week, and come back down later in the day. This
chart does not reflect Thursday's trading, as I had to prepare it Wednesday
night.
Therefore, if you are looking to
accumulate a position, and want to trade smart, don't jump in first thing
in the morning as long as this pattern continues. Either place a limit
order a bit below the market, or wait until the second half of the trading
day to see where we are.
Florida becomes the 15th state to
have a Spicy Pickle location. More are coming. There's just on more
thing I ask you to do- go try the food. I can't stress it enough. Expose
yourself directly to their product, and decide for yourself if this company
will continue its rapid expansion. If there isn't one close to you, ask
a friend or relative to do it for you. If the individual stores continue
performing as the newer ones have, there will be a lot more of them around.
And, don't forget- they already have their next two years of growth in
hand. They will be opening new stores out past 2009.

Spicy Pickle Franchising, Inc.
Spicy Pickle Announces
New Franchise Signing
New Store Marks Florida as the
15th State
Thursday, September 27,
4:05 PM ET
DENVER, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/
-- Spicy Pickle® fast casual restaurants (OTC Bulletin Board: SPKL
- News) today announced it has signed its first franchisee in the state
of Florida.
A new franchisee with
restaurant experience in another concept has entered into a franchise agreement
to open the first Spicy Pickle Restaurant in the Ocala/Gainesville region
of central Florida.
The Spicy Pickle real
estate acquisition department is in the Ocala/Gainsville area now reviewing
demographic studies and identifying potential locations.
Marc Geman, CEO of Spicy
Pickle Franchising, Inc, commented: “We are excited to have our first
franchisee in the state of Florida. The state of Florida can support a
significant number of stores, and having our first location could act as
a springboard to additional franchisees and help us penetrate other regions
within the state.”
Mr. Geman further commented
“Much like our very successful Boulder, Colorado location, the Ocala/Gainsville
area offers a similar demographic with a high concentration of University,
Medical, and Research facilities. This also marks the 15th state in which
there will be a Spicy Pickle Restaurant.”
By the end of 2007, Spicy
Pickle anticipates opening approximately 14 more units, bringing its network
to 40 restaurants in 13 states. Nearly 50 additional franchise development
agreements have also been signed.
In addition to its franchise
activity, Spicy Pickle currently has a breakfast menu in test, potentially
opening a new daypart for the chain. The company is also in the process
of building a major commissary in Denver to cost-effectively supply its
local restaurants with panini, sandwich breads and sweet treats, baked
daily according to Spicy Pickle's high standards. All other units nationwide
will continue to bake their panini and sandwich breads in-house. The Denver
commissary is expected to open by the end of the year.
About Spicy Pickle:
Founded in 1999, Spicy
Pickle Franchising, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPKL - News) serves high
quality meats and fine artisan breads, baked fresh daily, along with a
wide choice of eight different cheeses, twenty-two different toppings,
