Where
To Trade OTC BB Stocks- Part II |
 |
Lots and lots of emails from members
on the best brokerage firm for trading OTC Bulletin Board stocks. Nearly
80% of the emails I got were positive in favor of Scottrade (www.scottrade.com).
Scottrade's fees are extremely low- $7 for market orders and $12.50
for limit orders with no per share fee or inactivitycharge of any kind.
Members say the execution is flawless. Spend the extra $5 and use a limit
order.
A new name to me gets honorable mention
for the deepest discount anyone sent in. Lowtrades (www.lowtrades.com)
charges $5 per trade for both market and limit orders regardless of size.
One member says the executions are outstanding. If you looking for the
lowest rate, use that firm.
I am starting to do some research
on how the best source to trade for our friends in Canada and on other
continents. Look for an edition in a week or two.

Family Room
(OTC BB: FMLY); Paris Hilton Joins The Family |
|
Who's the hottest media darling for
the tabloids right now? Britney Spears? Jennifer Anniston? J Lo and Ben?
Paris Hilton has to be right up there in the paparazzi pool of tabloid
darlings.
The recent ratings success of the
goof ball Fox show "The Simple Life" stunned Hollywood. Hilton
was launched into infamy with the underground release of an X rated video
in the Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson genre. Despite law suits, protestations,
and embarrassment, this X rated video plastered Paris Hilton's face
on the cover of every magazine on the newsstands, and made her the hottest
property in Hollywood. Do you think it was an accident? Certainly, the
Fox Network had to love it.
Coming right on the heels of the
X rated, underground video was The Simple Life, another Fox
network blockbuster reality show. Billed with the phrase "From the Penthouse
to the Outhouse" Beverly Hills spoiled rich girls Paris Hilton
and Nicole Ritchie move to an Arkansas farm to live with a hard
working rural family.
The show was a smash hit, and the
reunion show has already been broadcast. It seems the American audience
cannot get enough of Paris Hilton.
In a press release which came out
just before the market opened, Family Room disclosed it has acquired
the rights to produce "Guest List Only". This documentary will chronicle
the clubbing scene in LA, and feature Paris Hilton.
Once produced and ready for commercial
introduction, audiences will be foaming at the mouth to watch this documentary.
No doubt, it will be shown on or sold to MTV or the like. The right
to broadcast the production in Japan will garner a huge fee. Paris Hilton
is a superstar in Japan, and is mobbed everywhere she goes.
Having Paris Hilton associated
with a Family Room production might explain the recent surge in
volume of the stock. Family Room has traded over 20 million shares
this year, eclipsing all volume records by a significant margin over the
entire four year history of the trading of this stock.
Because of the high profile nature
of the Paris Hilton association, this is the kind of news that could
eventually bring significant new interest to shares of Family Room.
Watch
for mentions in People, Variety, USA Today, and the like.
The company is on a tear fundamentally,
going into production on three new films in the first half of the year,
and expecting to get a significant paycheck when a major studio goes into
production on a planned three movie series remake of Amityville Horror.
To date this year, shares of Family
Room have performed beautifully. As you can see from the chart, the
stock moved up the charts as if shot out of a cannon, and has recently
taken a brief and well earned breather. Technically, it could be poised
for the next leg up.
There is nothing but growth in the
immediate future for Family Room, and I believe this stock is destined
to attain new levels soon. I am absolutely convinced this stock will achieve
the $.25 level I forecast in 2003, and it is only a question of
time. If they have a hit movie, you might end up moving the decimal one
space to the right on the stock price. A $5 million windfall from a hit
movie, an every day occurrence in Hollywood, would yield $.125 per share
in earnings and easily justify a $2.50 stock price.
Make no doubt about it- with this
company, it could happen. Accumulate for a significant return. In the high
risk penny stock arena, this is a relatively low risk situation.

Project
Group (OTC BB: PJTG): Profit Alert |
 |
In the January
10th Trading Alert on Project Group, I forecast a short
term move for the stock which would carry it to the $.25 to $.30 range.
The stock overshot my mark yesterday, making a new high of $.33. Fromthe
$.20 level on January 10, this equates to a 65% return in
11 days.
If you were in this one for a short
term trade, it is now at about the $.30 level. However, the company is
expected to grow three fold in 2004 and report it's first profit. Therefore,
a pullback from here might be best viewed as a buying opportunity. If you
were only in it for the short term, taking your profit might be in order.
Longer term, I believe the stock is going higher.
