Thursday Update: FXI (China
ETF- Major Breakout) |
|
Several OTC Journal followings
are looking strong today. First and foremost, my currently oldest large
cap idea is absolutely rocking. Check out this chart on FXI- the
large cap ETF for China Stocks I have been recommending since
$25
in February.
Reports out of China suggest
their economy is enjoying a V Shaped bottom, and government stimulus plans
are indeed stimulating the economy. In short, their economy is rocking
due to the huge cash surplus the government has built up over the last
20 years, and their willingness to spend some of it. The largest emerging
consumer class in the history of the world doesn't hurt either.
From my entry level of $25,
you are now up 70% cash- 140% margin. Technically, this break through $40
is just awesome, and suggests higher levels ahead. I can't say there won't
be a pullback.
And, speaking of China- my current
favorite small China stock is having a couple of really nice days. NF
Energy is finding a bid and has moved up about 10% in the last two
days. Price forecast on this one by several other parties is $2.50-
currently at about $.90, and up nicely in the last couple of days on increasing
volume. $.10 in EPS in 2008- Forecast is for $.15 in EPS in 2009, and much
higher in 2010. See the Catalyst Research Report- click
here.
A breakout above the slight downtrend
line you see there would suggest much higher levels in the near term. Perhaps
$1.25. This was a mid June idea at $.69- so at the current bid price of
30% ROI in 6 weeks.
Honorable mention goes to Options
Media Group (OPMG)- having a nice day- up 10% already
on a nice volume surge. I think this one is a hidden gem that people don't
quite get. This digital advertising revolution is driving them business,
and the next quarterly numbers will show substantially reduced losses,
big margins, and cash flow break even.
If the trend continues, we could
have a nice, profitable trade here. Stock is already offered at $.30 on
only about 75,000 shares of volume, which suggests it's pretty blown out
and could trade up nicely on lighter volume.

If you're going to be an effective
an intelligent stock market investor, you must have access to quality,
real time data on the markets. This software must include a monitor grid
with live quotes showing the bid, offer, last trade, and volume. It has
to be dynamic and in real time. You have to see the price changes.
You also need Level II quotes to
see what the market makers are doing, Time and Sales where you can see
every trade, and live charts with the ability to input any technical data
you want to see.
I believe the best software solution
on the internet is AlphaTrade- it's reasonably easy to use, and
most importantly very inexpensive. A $17 monthly fee is about the lowest
out there, and after adding in the unavoidable exchange fees, you're in
for about $35 per month.
Alphatrade offers a 2 week
free trial for anyone who wants to try the system. However, I know the
CEO, and I have arranged a special deal for OTC Journal subscribers.
You get a whole month for FREE! No risk. Try
it. It's web based, so you can see it out the way you want to see it, and
open it on any browser. You don't need to have your own computer.
There's a bit of a learning curve
on the software, but it's worth the time to learn how to use it and configure
it for your needs. For free, how can you go wrong. Try it.
Just click on the Alphatrade
image, and get started immediately.
