Envoy Communications
(NASDAQ: ECGI) Finally Rebounding Strongly- News Today After the Close |
|
We have been long and wrong on Envoy
Communications for a virtual eternity. We know many of our members
are shareholders, and most of us never thought we'd see the stock drop
below $2.
A quick look at the current chart
reveals the long awaited rebound is finally in full swing, and despite
the recent run up we believe a move back to the $2 is in the cards
short term.
After months of virtual silence,
Envoy Communications announced today that their new marketing and advertising
division, the St. John company, has been named the advertising agency
of record for Fujifilm Canada Inc.
The company anticipates their St.
John division will continue to gain momentum as advertisers begin budgeting
for anticipated improved economic conditions.
In an unrelated item the press release
also revealed the company will be announcing fiscal year end financial
results on December 19th with a conference call the same day.
The OTC Journal is anticipating
Envoy
will announce somewhere between $5 million and $10 CDN in EBITDA
profits for fiscal 2001. At $1 per share the stock was priced as
if the company were losing money.
More importantly, we hope management
will give us a forecast for business in fiscal 2002 so we can get a handle
on where the stock could trade as business levels return to normal.
In the interim, the stock is behaving
extremely well after months of steady decline. The market is now convinced
their business has not fallen off a cliff, and better times are ahead.
We believe the stock is headed back
into the $2 range in short order. There has been very little
tax selling pressure this year as few investors have profits to protect.
Look for a rebound to $2 short term, and higher levels further
down the road.
