To OTC Journal Members: 1st Net (OTC BB: FNTT) Update Those members that are shareholders of our parent company, 1st Net Technologies, had to have been pleasantly surprised with the recent surge in the price. Last Wednesday the stock was trading at $2, and by Monday it had traded as high as $5.25 on 10 times average volume. Today the stock finally began drifting back down and closed in the $3.50 range. Any stock which rises 160% in two days is bound to retreat. We have always felt that the best way to make money in micro cap stocks is to identify several companies that you feel have outstanding upside potential. The ideal time to accumulate these stocks is when they are at the bottom of their trading ranges with little or no volume. Put simply: buy them when no one wants them, and wait for events to provide price appreciation and liquidity. From there, you can either take a short term profit or hold out for larger returns. The choice is yours. Picking good bottoms can be challenging, and low volume is one very accurate indicator. When volume dries up, this indicates that every shareholder that wanted to sell has sold, and the stock can appreciate rapidly with the right news. Of course, for this formula to work,
the Company has to perform, investors have to know it, and you have to
have some patience. We will try to identify good entry levels in
the Companies we have covered, and bring you information when the stocks
are trading at the low end of their ranges.
Neptune Society (OTC BB: NPTN) Update The Neptune Society, our October profile is a classic example of a stock which seems to have bottomed in a tight trading range. Since this stock began to trade on May 3rd of this year, it has only traded below $6 one time at $5.75. It has traded above $7 several times, suggesting that $6 is an excellent entry level. Moreover, the Company is a profit making machine. If you missed our original profile, now would be a good time to go and review it.
