Blue Zone (OTC BB: BLZN) Update

In our last edition we indicated that we felt shares of Blue Zone were on the verge of a break out after putting in an all time high of $15.375 (300% increase from our original profiled price) back in March and then falling back below $5 during the April/May bloodbath.

Today's action help confirm our suspicions that the stock is under accumulation. The stock traded over 100,000 shares for only the third time since the beginning of June, and closed at $7.25 (up $.4375). This is extraordinary performance considering it's 4th of July week, and most individual investors' attention is turned elsewhere during the holiday.

In addition, today's market action in the NASDAQ was very unfavorable for technology stocks. The day started with downgrades in the chip sector followed by earnings warnings from several technology companies, all of which led to a 129 point drop in the NASDAQ. Next week should be better when institutional investors return to their desks and companies that didn't warn about earnings short falls begin releasing June quarterly results.

There are multiple rumors flying around about Blue Zone, but we don't publish rumors. We only publish facts as they become available. Clearly, the stock is growing legs and this could be the first of our covered companies to rebound to March levels.

New Section of the OTC Journal Is Launched Today

Our new section entitled Daily Swing Pick was inaugurated today with the first selection from our new technical analyst. Here you will find a short term trading idea in a large cap stock which we will publish as suggested trades are triggered by market conditions. We will try to publish a new idea daily, but there will be times when market conditions don't allow for a pick. Ideas may be posted an any time during the trading day. Visit our Home Page and click the second button on the left hand menu bar to access this section.

This section can be used as a valuable recruiting tool for members competing in our $10,000 Referral Contest. The first stock picked was Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM).  This stock is one of the most heavily traded telecommunications stock on the NASDAQ, and thousands of investors are on message boards all over the Internet discussing the merits of the stock.

Enterprising competitors with some knowledge of stock chat rooms could have used this idea to recruit new members under their referrer ID#. The comment section on the Daily Swing Pick explains the rationale for the recommendation, and investors that follow Qualcomm will want to know those thoughts. Check first thing tomorrow for another short term trading idea.

We'll be back with the next weekend edition unless there is some breaking news to cover between now and then.
