A Look Ahead |
|
It's November 1st. There are two
months left in the year. It's time to start wrapping up 2003 and making
plans to introduce new and exciting features and ideas in 2004.
Before the end of the year there
may be one or two new companies covered. I'm still looking for an undiscovered
and under followed microcap stock in the biotech arena. November and December
are generally the best months of the year to be in the market, and a good
time to rack up profits.
We're going to do a series of audio
interviews with management at each of the companies I follow before year's
end. When the edition comes, you will be able to click on a link in the
OTC
Journal and listen to the interview streamed over the internet. If
you don't have speakers or headphones you will be able to read a transcribed
printed version. If you are a shareholder or thinking of becoming one of
any of these companies, this will give you an opportunity to form your
own opinion about the people that run these companies. Over the long term,
their ability to execute their business plan equates to profits or losses.
This will help you decide if you want to make any adjustments in your portfolio
before the end of the year.
I will no doubt drop some companies
from coverage. I tend to drop the ones that aren't working out- Most investors
make the mistake of selling their winners and holding on to their losers.
Since nearly all of my ideas are in the speculative end of the market there
are going to be losers. You have to accept that fact. Learning to handle
losers is just as important as finding winners to be a successful investor.
If you can't handle losses this is not the newsletter for you.
Looking forward, he's something very
important you need to act on:
